Development Strategy of Family Business
Vichr, Matěj ; Bumberová, Veronika (referee) ; Koráb, Vojtěch (advisor)
This diploma thesis involves a strategic development plan proposal within a particular family business. It describes a theoretical framework in the areas of family business, strategic management and change management. Using critical analysis in accordance with the theoretical findings, a proposal of strategic development within a chosen family business is created together with a high-level implementation plan.
Visualisation of Gantt Chart for Android Platform
Douděra, Martin ; Jurzykowski, Michal (referee) ; Láník, Aleš (advisor)
This thesis deals with development of an application for mobile device based on Android operating system. The application is used for planning projects. Plans are visualised by Gantt chart which is extended by dependencies and resource assignment. There are described principles of creating an application for Android devices and planning with a Gantt chart in this thesis . Application design and an implementation for the target platform follows. The application is published on Google Play.
Reporting - ERP System
Pála, Milan ; Rychlý, Marek (referee) ; Očenášek, Pavel (advisor)
This work deals with creating a module for existing ERP system. Module should be able to produce dataprogress of production, monitor productivity of production and warn if some issue will happen. This work evaluates a processing of a large amount of data and it shows different possibilities how to precalculate data. It also deals with a draft how to predict information from known data.
Comparison of Project Management Tools
Tomášek, Pavel ; Blažek, Petr (referee) ; Juřica, Pavel (advisor)
Thesis deals with evaluation of possibilities and conditions for application of key project management methods. Particular parts involve description and delimitation of chosen project management. Traditional methods that are represented by CPM and PERT methods. Furthermore, the thesis is enriched on the basis facts of the Theory of Constraints, which led to the creation of a separate project management system based on the Critical Chain method. This part is followed by an analysis and comparison of these methods in the phase of planning, managing and controlling from a perspective of single project case. Thesis is followed by the using of selected method in real environment conditions, its implementation and evaluation of risks and economic differences.
Proposal of the Implementation of the Project Management Methodology into the Company
Vojta, Lubomír ; Pokorná, Martina (referee) ; Smolíková, Lenka (advisor)
This diploma theses deals with the challenges of a project management in a particular construction company that handles projects on daily basis. I focused on the analysis of a particular project in this company, that has been successfully implemented. This analysis served as a starting point for the designing of the changes, as well as a devising a tool that simplifies the set up of the changes into practice. Selected problem was solved by comparing the project management methodology in the project with the project management practices officially proposed in the literature. Tool design was carried out in the environment of Microsoft Excel. I managed to design a tool in which the shortcomings are treated the way that facilitates their implementation into practice, especially by using an easy environment and outputs well-arranged for the user. This tool is therefore mainly used to eliminate the identified shortcomings and thus to facilitate and simplify project management in practice.
Comparison and evaluation of mathematical methods in proceedings
ŽÁKOVÁ, Jana
In the preamble of the report, there are briefly described the basic notions of network analysis (the project and the network graph). Special attention is applied to the deterministic methods (Critical Path Method, Metra Potential Method) and their calculation as well as stochastic method (Program Evaluation and Review Technique, Graphical Evaluation and Review Technique), which are narrowly analyzed in the next chapter of the final report. The last two chapters of this part of the report are focused on the possibilities of simulation at proceedings projects and the software as a fundamental asset for planning and proceedings projects. The second part, which is mainly oriented to the practical points of problem, proposes the answer to stochastic and deterministic project at the application of the simulation technique by means of selected software.
Stochastic activity networks
Sůva, Pavel ; Dupačová, Jitka (advisor) ; Kaňková, Vlasta (referee)
In the present work, stochastic network models representing a project as a set of activities are studied, as well as different approaches to these models. The critical path method, stochastic network models with probability constraints, finding a reference project duration, worst-case analysis in stochastic networks and optimization of the parameters of the probability distributions of the activity durations are studied. Use of stochastic network models in telecommunications networks is also briefly presented. In a numerical study, some of these models are implemented and the~related numerical results are analyzed.

Project management Support the teaching of pupils in gastronomy
Šmejkalová, Adéla ; Dlouhý, Martin (advisor) ; Borovička, Adam (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to evaluate the realised project "Endorsement of comprehensive, executive and practical teaching in gastronomy" using project management methods. The project is being realised by IREAS, Institute for Structural Policy and 12 schools from all over the Czech Republic participate in it. The project is being realised in cooperation with the Association of Chefs and Confectioners of the Czech Republic and by Jules and Jim. The project will be prepared using MS Project 2010. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes basic concepts of project management and methods of project management. The practical part deals with the project itself, starting with the request for support to the actual implementation of the project. The necessary data for the evaluation of the progress and implementation of the project were provided by IREAS, Institute for Structural Policy with which I cooperate in the implementation of the project.
